Watched the replay of the Prelim last night & was absolutely disgusted by the diving antics of young Cat Gryan Meyers coupled with his chronic pleading for free kicks.
It was very sad to watch. Loved Caddy ripping into the snowflake. He thoroughly deserved it. The Cats culture is enshrined in these antics so the young Cat never stood a chance but it's no excuse. He's a fraud.
Serial stager Backflip Dangerflop's goal on the verge of half time one of the greatest dives in history but was barely mentioned by the sycophantic commentators.
He's got a long history of adding mayo but when you think of how Rance was completely hauled over the coals, the scutiny of Clanger's cheating was comparitively non existent.
Thank heavens Dusty absolutely ripped into him after it with complete disrespect. Clanger barely got a kick after it.

Not to mention Selduck..

So a big FU to you Geelong floppers.
Cheats never prosper.
The flag is our again despite your cheating antics.

Spot about Gryon and Danger
Reckon I’ve watched the second half of that game more times than I’ve watched the GF

Who cares?
They’re old and slow.
Geelong are nothing. We should go on now and have a Brisbane like record against them.

Yes. Said that on the day, Miers was the biggest diver and faker on the ground by far. He wants to get that out of his system quick smart.

Must be a symptom of not being able to play at their homeground, where the air is thicker and when diving the conditions result in the body levitating in a horizontal but not ground-breaking state.

So salty.

Spot on about the flopping.
The other issue that is a real blight on the game at the moment is the over the head ball throwing.
In that game both Selwood and Danger threw the ball, two handed, over their heads.
Selwood threw it 15 meters on one occasion.
I was staggered it was not called. Danger is an expert t it.
Clearly this is a deliberate coaching ploy to push the rules and it succeeds because these are big name players
who are not readily caught by the umps.

Having said this, Sheds occasionally handballs over his head in a borderline fashion and JR has taken to e xaggerating contact .
I note that it is now standard for forwards to exaggerate contact in a marking contest...and generally it is effective.
Hawkins is an expert.
What is needed are strong and consistent umpires who set the line early. Ha Ha ...as if.

Geelong have gotten off Scott free.

Miers falls more than a leaf in Malvern halfway through April.
Dangerfield went missing in a big game, not for the first time.
Salty Scott coached an appalling game plan.

They lost their best player and look at the age of the top 10 in the B & F. (Age at end of next season)

1. Patrick Dangerfield - 268 votes (30 prime time but running out)
2. Tim Kelly - 259.5 votes (26 GONNNNEEE)
3. Tom Stewart - 251 votes (27 in his prime)
4. Tom Hawkins - 250 votes (32 past prime)
5. Mark Blicavs - 247 votes (29 in his prime, maybe past it)
6. Luke Dahlhaus - 245 votes (28 past his prime)
7. Gary Ablett - 241.5 votes (36 past his prime)
8. Mitch Duncan - 240.5 votes (29 prime but running out)
9. Joel Selwood - 239 votes (32 aging quickly)
10. Gryan Miers - 238 votes (will have 456 falls between now and end of next year, safety hazard)

One player under 27!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A cliff is coming, fast. And they don't see it coming. Very Richmond in the final years of Spuds list set up.

Not just Rance but some of the vitriol that came out about Grimes in that qualifying final up in Brisbane was disgraceful. No different to Diverfield but one is quiet and was smashed in the media about it, the other outspoken / players association head and its talked up as gameplay.

Ahh Gryan Miers...... kid comes from extremely weird stock!
Having watched his old man play in the diamond valley 30 odd years ago, I'm tipping he may have copped a real whack post match!

What about that new fashion......WTF is that jumper?

I watched it too, and my worse disgust was that arrogant stage performer Razorbrain calling 50m at least 1 second after Chimp passed the ball to Bash. Not even a possible 2nd thought to regret....nup. Just saw the opportunity to be a prick and stuck to it.

What about Selwood getting the team to swamp Dangerfield after he kicked that goal?

Like he thought it was some stirring piece of play that would lift the team. Says it all really.
