I'm looking for some improvements with our movement of the ball into the forward line, pressure and RCDs debut.

Not tipping, but we need 4pts in any way we can get them.

Go Tiges!

Dogs aren't gonna know what hit 'em tonight.

Tom kicks 3 in the first quarter to take us to a 37 point lead,

and we win by 48.

cross to Papatoe and dusty doing a haka with a 'get *smile* barrot' T-shirt on.

Goes without saying that Dusty is hard to replace, so too is Lambert.
Wouldn't mind seeing Ross get a defensive role, he should be able to win his share of possessions.
Looking forward to see how RCD goes, got a feeling he's going to go ok.

Tigers by 17.

Have teams worked us out? Maybe?

Looks like a lot of teams are trying to handball through our wall causing our defence to open up and not have that spare player down back. Teams are also doing this to avoid that 'dump' kick where its turned over and we start our attack. This is forcing us to stop the handball chains at the source. This requires the like of Grimes, Astbury and Broad to push further up the ground. If the opposition get through its an easy goal.

The Dogs are the best at this. Massive challenge for us tonight.

i look at the fixture and they have had a pretty soft draw. the only decent team they have played is Brisbane in Ballarat... a game the lions were never gonna win in unsuitable conditions. Richmond at the MCG (even without Dusty) is a far trickier proposition.

I’m not going out on a limb and say we’re definitely gonna win, but these backs to the wall games are the type of games that defines us as a club. I’m heading to the G tonight confident we’ll get the job done.

my biggest concern is the umpires. 1st in free kick differential v 18th. If it’s a close game, i fear a reoccurrence of the Port Adelaide fiasco will cost us another 4 points.

McCrae has been in ridiculously good form, is their best link player & a key reason for their current success.
Wonder if we will look to run a tag as something different? Jack Graham?

Injury sub is intriguing, Coleman-Jones not versatile enough, Martyn looked well off against Port, that leaves Naish or MRJ.

when i think about it, mRJ is probably less versatile than CCJ as a sub option.

mrj is probably exclusively a fp at this stage

I'd hope it's Naish if that's the case. Debuting as a medical sub is *smile*; especially in the case of MRJ.

In fact the medical sub is *smile* full stop.

It won't be MJR as they would have announced his debut.

I know his crumpling will be at an all time high tonight which will infuriate.

Yep. First time Pickett goes near him he will fold like a deck of cards.

I'm tipping Martyn for sub. I think they like his ability to win ball both at clearance and on transition, outside/inside balance. Plus, like Ross past few weeks, I would say Dimma would see him as the next best.

Not that a loss or win tonight makes the season , however I think we’ll get a very good idea into both clubs tonight.

Have a good feeling about tonight. Reckon we blow it away in the first quarter - 8 goals to 1 and then hold that margin for the game.
