Most of you have most likely heard this story, so I apologies. But I just couldn’t resist putting in on the board.

Don’t know how actuate this is, but my friend does work at Channel 9 and was told of this story.
The footyshow was having its general production meeting and were discussing the problem of Richmond pulling Brown off Bulger because of the Dr Pink character.
Eddie said along the lines of “That’s typical of the Richmond Club...” And went on about how silly the club is acting about having one of their players portraying a gay man on television.
Sam then joking said “Maybe Nathan Buckley can play Dr Pink”
Eddie fired back. “No. There’s no way Bucks is playing a poof on T.V.”
Everyone broke into laughter except for Eddie who sat stoned face.
Apparently this is the reason why Eddie played Dr Pink later on. Sam dared him to do it, so Eddie being the show pony he is did.

I won't bother watching the Collingwood Footy Show this week because Eddie's pretty boys are going to play the Bluebuggers, so you can imagine that every other team will be forgotten. Won't be surprised if Pig's Arse turns up again.

The biggest insult of all LEXUS, is Eddie's continuing efforts to convince the viewing public that there is no EMIRATES bias towards the wobbles by his show LEXUS or Channel Ed overall.  This guy wears so many EMIRATES hats he would have to employ someone LEXUS to tell him who he is and who he is working for at any given time.  It has turned a once enjoyable footy forum into something not worth watching.  HAVE A LOOK AT BEFORE THE GAME, & THE FIFTH QUARTER on channel 10.  Leaves Eddie and his bumbling fools looking as entertaining as a case of Ross River Fever.

Agree that is an awesome show. The hosts are actually funny which helps lol.

Before the game is very funny. But the footshow is a logies winner. How can any show compete with that.
The only thing funny on the Footyshow now is Trevor. Without him the show would fold.

Dave Hughes is always funny but that Tosser Hellier should be shown the door. We do not need more scumwood supporters as public figures - and he seems to have forgotten that the one big victory the tiges had this year was over his pitiful side.

Prediction. What will be discussed/happen on the Footyshow tonight.
Eddie unpredictably announces “It’s been a big week in Football.”
Sam sleeping with a teenager.
Eddie talks about Collingwood and the new Bob Rose stadium, Buckley, Tarrant and anything else associated with poowood.
Trevor takes a pot shot at Richmond
Sam will have a go at the umpires.
Street talk will be done at Hawthorn and will only feature the mentally ill.
Sam’s mailbag will feature another old T.V commercial that we’ve already seen months ago.
Now that the cats have won 2 games Sam will talk them up this week.
Bulger wont be funny.

Agree with seven. The FS is the same every week. Same fights, same tired old arguments, and the players on the panel rarely have anything interesting to say because they are asked the same worn-out questions.

Before the Game is brilliant, because it's more unpredictable, and the guest players seem to respond more to that (most even show a spark of personality!! phwoarr)
Hope BTG is nominated for best sports program next year and knocks off TFS. Love to see the smug self-satisfied smile wiped off Eddie's face.

I'd love to see a program like Before The Game to go head to head with The Footy Show. A lot of people watch TFS out of habit and to get the selected teams. Plenty would gladly move if there was another option.
TFS is just a glorified advertising program now.

I know Mike Sheehan isnt the most popular guy but at least he actually talks about the footy.League Teams on foxfooty is pretty good IMO although Barnesy drives me crazy.

Spot on Rosy I think people just watch that crap out of habit.

I woke up a couple of years ago now. I allways tried to make sure I could see it.

Then I found myself making excuses to watch it RE: see the teams.

Finally I realised it was a waste of time watching those egotistical turds for 2 + hrs just to get the teams when I can see them on Fox Footy.

Eddie Mc everywhere really gives me the irits and it is nothing to do with tall poppy syndrome as some would like to say.

Sam is just not funny at all.

I think the real problem with the footy show is that since it first began when the ratings were going thru the roof everyone including Eddie were all new to hosting a TV show so the show had a few muck ups in it and no one knew what to expect next.

Sam was given a bit of a free run to make the show work with his humour.

Since then Eddie has become a much more powerful figure and therefore has since demanded that The Footy Show be more professional, Sam is often told to shut up by Eddie and IMO the ratings have suffered coz of it.

I think ever since Crawf dacked Sam they have stamped down on all the fun and tried to make the show too serious

I just heard on the Collingwood Footy Show that the two St Kilda players alleged for rape are NOT going to be charged !!!!

I reckon this St Kilda team has found some miracle.

They might as well claim the 2004 premiership now.
