Planning my trip to the states and the First thing I did was look at the H&A calendar.
Does anyone know of a sports bar/pub in Miami that shows games live?

I did get into contact with one hotel but they only show it in the actual rooms not on the big screens down stairs...
Cheers

Watching footy would be the last thing on my mind in Miami but that's just me.

I love Miami get there often...easily my 3rd home behind San Francisco.
I'm assuming you'll be in the Miami/Miami Beach/South Beach area....if so Fort Lauderdale is about 45 minutes away so not ideal.

To be honest you'll have a hard time.
It's difficult enough to find a place showing the Grand Final never mind other games in FL,
they show only one game a week (typically Collingwood) and it is not live.....also not in HD.

They have an Aussie themed restaurant called Outback, maybe you can shoot them an email asking if they show games.
They have a few restaurants in the Miami area. http://www.outback.com/

ESPN didn't renew their AFL contract this year and now the AFL will be on Fox Soccer or Fox Soccer Plus this year.
You should check their TV schedules online I suppose.

I'd also try the Australian Consulate in Miami....they will help or at least point you in the right direction.
+1-305-858-7633 (I couldn't find an email address).

Hope this helps RT.

Your other option is to be a real supporter and not go on holidays during the season. Soon you'll be asking about the best chalets on Mt Buller

Don't go to the Outback steakhouse - depressing.

I went to one in the middle of Massachussets with my wife's family. They thought it would be cute. I became a zoo exhibit...All the waiters came over to speak to a "real" Australian.....

If you are interested in RFC games only - get the internet version through AFL.com. Fox Soccer plus will only have 2 games a week

:rofl

I might stay away then.

Thanks again guys will look into it and see how we go.. it's still a while away..

Another USA related question... I bought tickets for a concert in Las Vegas, for the wrong date (don't even go there), so I quickly snapped up ones for another date, THEN i went to the ticket seller and was told I could have exchanged the original ones, but now I'm stuck with a set of tickets which cannot be refunded. I've listed on ebay etc but the best ticket selling sites seem to be Stub Hub, tickets now etc. Only problem is when I enter in my details it says its "fraud" because my card doesnt have a US address, so I entered in my hotel address, and the same thing happened. Any way I can get around this? Or would I have to get someone in the states to list it for me?

:hihi

I went to a bar once in Nagoya called Jerry's Uno bar. They had an international selection of beers available.

The Kiwi beer was Vic Bitter, we got lumped with XXXX. Now that was depressing.

On a more positive note, I stuck to the Kirin. Good stuff.
