Another soft tissue injury this week
Another game where it (appeared) players ran out of steam, quite a long way out from the final siren (obviously the carlton game, but also many in 2021)
Rob Innes leaving end 2020 has been mentioned often. Repeat issues with eg. Vlaus, Presita, Lambo (not soft tissue)
Football department budget cuts hitting at the first time in a generation that we were leaders in the field
@The Big Richo I think it was you who mentioned, sometime in mid 2020 that clubs were wrestling with whether to 1. change training to better suit the shorter quarters, or 2. continue per normal, be worse in 2020, but better in the long run. Surely even if we did #1 that two preseasons later that wouldn't still be an issue??
Peak 2017-19 we were absolutely steamrolling over teams late in games. Now it seems the opposite.
Could obviously be player hunger - The last couple of % that makes a big difference. But it could also be the training program. Flagging it for discussion from those who would know better than I.
