Picked Richmond by 60.

1. Easy drive in (40mins)
2. Walked 20mins to ground (city felt bare, covid....still a shock as first time I have been in over 3 years.

3. Got within 5mins of ground (hadn't seen any fans as yet) Thought...*smile* this game is at the G!

4. Got there. Easy check-in process.
Felt to me like there was 18,000 there.
Felt bare.
It says, 22k...anyway. doubt it.

5. Can't believe how family friendly it was (was lovely)
However the Tiger roar and passion and loudness seemed non existent.
Cheer squad quiet.
Is grog squad still going?

6. Felt the atmosphere was poor (no real larrikins carrying on (good I suppose)
All fans got a long and it all felt really wishy washy I suppose, lovely though I suppose.

7. Pre game was x box or playstation games or some crap.

8. Only heard one Richmond guy swear for the game (F word at Umpire)
Was called out for it by 4 or 5 people.
Again lovely I suppose.

9. The game itself felt VFL standard.

Overall experience 2/10.

Good on for you for getting to the game mate, COVID/AFL has it killed the live experience for me, couch is way too comfy.

Gotta say, with the young ones… time, access and general atmosphere was ok. There flashing light thing blew their tiny minds after goals

Brought some levity to a grim night there Bunnerz.
I saw the top deck on the oute side was empty but when they did the reverse angle the half on the camera side had spectators. The opposite would look better.

General atmosphere ok?
That's a real worry then.

I could sometimes hear what the players and other spectators were saying 50m away.

Very quiet until last quarter.

Yeah, I just didn't enjoy it and it's not because we lost.

It was actually physically closed off up there… couldn’t even walk the concourse… so clearly geared the joint for camera vision… “fake news”

No one around me, including myself even stood up and clapped for out song when we ran out.

Cheersquad whispered Yellow and Black.

I thought....even before the first bounce, this seems all a bit like I'm at the cinemas.

Spot on mate.

Top half of one side was empty.

I really don't think there was 22k.

Flip side, I was on ground with kids at half time… f me that joint is loud at ground level, and the lights are crazy blinding… buggered if I know how anyone takes a mark there!

I'm as much to blame as I only yelled out ballllllll once.

Gave the umpire a serve when Goldstein dropped the ball.

I lost it and went on a rant for 5seconds.

Called him a *smile*.
Not a bad swear word.

Then come the greasys from the fun police fans.

Again...the way people conducted themselves was very lovely but it felt like I couldn't express myself and was at a Library

I will stick to couch for the remainder.

And when North ran out, I think they ran out to a different song for the first 10 seconds.
Haha. R n b song.
Then they changed it. (Amatuer).

Then after one goal the guy flickering the lights turned em off haha....all for one second.
Amateur.

Definitely a different experience to 3 to 5 to 25 years ago.

That place is just weird, does not feel like a football ground at all, has negative atmosphere.

You feel like you are at the cinema because the place is made for TV telecasts not for the people who turn up.

DS

It did feel quiet, and it was absolutely freezing in there with the roof closed - I'm sure there was a snowflake or two in the stands?

The MCG is the place to be, you really couldn't have picked a less atmospheric game than North at the Docklands in a nothing game. It did feel like cinema night at the library.
