ive noticed that every 2 to 3 years we have a player that whats to leave or earn more money. while other sides sign there players up during the year without any fuss. im not sure what delidio is waiting for, but it wouldve nice to see him sign up.
poole- geelong "wanted to play finals'
wilson- west coast "finals"
maxfield- left for more cash
campbell- wanted to go to north to play finals
holland- stayed for heaps after the crows chased him
ottens- cash
there must be others,

every year there are players coming out of contract. every year there is a list of stars going into the PSD. every year most of these players resign with their clubs. i dont think we are much different than other clubs here.

im not talking about all players, but quality footballers.
when was the last quality player to leave carlton or collingwood??

Hamill, Tarrant ring any bells?

hamil yes, but tarrent was traded, he didnt walk out and by the way i said quality. opps i f.up with holland being quality

Ottens was also traded. if you take him out of the equation, according to your list we haven't had a player walk out on the club since Maxfield & that was almost 15 yrs ago. I think we have bigger problems to worry about

In the end Ottens was traded but he wanted out. Surely under any interpretation of the expression, he walked out on the RFC, not that you could blame him.

Twas more than a little depressing to see a former Tiger on each side in the 2007 GF.

Yes, but Ottens requested a trade and refused to stay at Richmond.

Didn't Maxfield leave because the club basically didn't offer him anything.

I think it was more what Sydney was able to offer, something like a full time job and double the salary
I can't remember exactly but it was something like that

If lids wants to leave and we get the same compensation we got from Ottens I will be happy to see the back of him, he wont want to play for the club and he will just go through the motions and bleed us of a lot of money over the next 10 years. I am sick of players who are not interested in playing for our club.

On a side topic, does anyone remember the issue of the Fighting Tiger, when Brad had a full article on why he wants to remain a tiger for life? I have often wanted to quiz him on why he asked to leave the club 6 months after that.
