Long story short

Just got home
Got there an an hour before game time - Records bloody well sold out already
Footy Record website even reporting sold out
I need to continue a 30+ year tradition
I’ll pay for it
I’ll pay a premium - within reason
I’ll pay the postage too
I’ll take one in any condition (even if the kids have filled in the goal scorers)

Let me know if you have a spare

Cheers all

Hi tenacious. Was about to come on and post the same plea for help. Was angry at the game. Was there just after the gates opened. Noticed there were no record sellers on the way up the Roar Store entrance as they usually are, or at their regular spot outside the Olympic Stand. Did a full circuit around the outside for no result. I thought maybe I was too early. I did spot 2 people walking with a record in their hand. Then I spotted a familiar umbrella they have with their stand but they were on the move, looked like they packed up. I was getting frustrated. Been to every game in Melbourne for 35 years (apart from the covid no crowd times) and always got a record. My cousin had the same result. Said that he saw and attendant with a stack of them but was told they were for the corporates. I went as far as walking around the stands after the game hoping someone had left one behind. No luck. Got home and got on the website. All records were available except ours. Never have I experienced records being sold out before. It’s easier to get a grand final one, with more people attending. They seriously screwed up by underestimating the popularity of this occasion.
If anyone has another spare or are happy to part with theirs, would love to have it. Happy to pay like Tenacious.

Another bump
Just got told they have said they stuffed up and underestimated the crowd. They’ve either released more or reprinted more but get on the AFL record website now. Just purchased one

Thanks so much Legends of 2017.

That's why this place rocks. (even when The Tiges don't!)
Everyone together for the one cause.

I'm in.

Only digital download available that I can see. It is a disgrace but not AFL's problem, the Record is now owned by Hutchy as part of his Sports Entertainment website. I got there at 3.15 and all sold out. A big stuff up.

Try again tigermike. I just went back to check and it looks like it’s still available. I just googled AFL record then clicked records then it directed me to the website. Then click on the “ print edition and subscription “ link on the left of the page. Then you should be able to get to it there

Thanks Legends of 2017, I was just able to order a print version. Fantastic. You are a "legend".

I hope everyone that wanted one has now got one. A mate at work mentioned to me today that he saw one advertised on eBay. Bidding starting at $60 or “ buy now” for $150. Was probably someone from a corporate box that got theirs free on Saturday. Looks like it’s down now.

Did anyone order more than 1? If so, did you receive them all? I ordered 2 (1 for myself and 1 for a family member) and have only received 1. I've followed up with them, and got a generic response back - those with multiple orders will get them...

Ditto.
I also ordered two. One for my Aussie Tiger mate in the UK.
Got the same response as you.
But also got a reply from an actual person.
The second copy will arrive next week.

Classic Afl.
Why send them in the one envelope when you can send them separately?
Nuffies.

2nd record finally arrived today.

Makes no sense sending them separately.
But hey, this The Afl.
Not a lot of what they do makes sense.
