Duncan didnt get close to Hird for most of the first half. I know he has been out injured, but if we are to move forward next year he must retire.

i was a bit surprised of pettifers performance. i thought he did OK in the first half and then he faded away a bit. but his performance was a good surprise.

Worse still Gus, I think we're in jeopardy of Kayne staying on the list next year.

If that's the best he has to show to the football world, surely noone would ever trade him.

I've never seen a player make such an art form of running alongside play trying to look like that are making an attempt to do something, but obviously not putting in any effort at all.

Being gutless and having no heart is a far bigger disgrace to the Richmond jumper than just not having any skill.

Great to see Spud rewarded for rewarding one half decent game. Hyde has been in the best far more than Pettifer, so you don't ring true Spud.

Next weeks game - OUT PETTIFER.

Rosy I don't think that Pettifer actually lacks skill, just heart.

Everytime I have seen him on the Idiot Box he genuinely looks like he is intimidated and scared to put his body on the line.

Get rid of Pettifer if we can't trade him then just delist him. Put Hyde in the bloody team. I saw Hydey out on the G before the game today and thought he might have been in to replace Chaffey (because of the rumours that Chaff had the flu) . Lets hope he gets a game next week. Some say he's a dud but he deserves a spot a hell of a lot more than Kayne does.

That's what I was saying Gus, or trying to, ha.

(Though I don't think Pettifer has the exquisite skills some people on here give him credit for.)

Well if he has he certainly doesn't like to advertise to much. From what I have seen his skills are very average or maybe they are being controlled by the fear factor.

Get back to the subject guys ;D
Ratten & Burke, Hickmott, all honourable players, new their time was up and retired.
If Kellaway (and Rodgers) are honourable people, they must retire in the next two weeks, otherwise they are deluding themselves and the club.
Give them the opportunity to play the last home game and honour them. They do deserve it.
However, if they play next year, we are a bigger joke than I thought and they are both living in a dream world!!!

Who brung you Diggles, I thought I diverted the topic quite well. ;D

Dunc can share my dream world anytime. :-*

Duncan Kellaway did have a shocker of a game. He didnt play anywhere near his best.

However, I personally believe he isnt match fit. Given all the injuries the poor guy has had, give him a preseason and see if he has the passion to play on next year.

Remember over the years, he has been one of our best.

As for Pettifer, he played up to his ability, SHITHOUSE !!!

Should Houlihan be escaping this sort of criticism this easily? I didn't see the game... just listened to it in part on the radio as I did something productive with my life.

I think enough has already been said about Houlihan. Everyone knows he is a dud, fringe player at best.

Yeah WE ALL know it gus, I just wondered if he atleast justified his selection based on what he did or didn't do out there today.
Because if he didn't then SPUDS decision to pick Houlihan and Pettifer over say Schulz and Hyde has been proven to be the idiotic and short-sighted one, that we all said it was, after it was announced.

Haven't seen the game yet TD. Have to wait till 9 pm Vietnam time for that please, but his stats would certainly inidicate that he didn't do much.

I agree with you on *smile* and Hyde though.

Hyde especially as he has regularly been one of the best for Coburge over the last few weeks and on FRAWLEYS word surely he much be in line for selection.

Maybe he's not upto it, but really hasn't had much of a chance to show us anything.

If we are serious about rebuilding our list Duncan, Cameron and Rogers (if his contract can be finished through retiring) should announce after next week that they are retiring and let the Club and supporters give them a deserving send off in round 22 against the Hawks. The game has passed them by.

As for Pettifer and Houlihan - Goodbye! - with Nichols not far behind.
