I’d say he was alluding to the fact that it seemed like every time the ball went into Carlton’s forward line the umpires picked a free kick. Some were there, others were very soft.

Yet when the same thing happened in our forward line we got nothing. Nada. Bubkis.

Zero free kicks in our forward line for the entire game.

The AFL was desperate for their opening Thursday night Match to be a tight contest. Not content with having ruined last year‘s Grand Final, Richmond opened up like a steam train and threatened to derail another spectacle.
