Dead set I've had enough.

Why is Dutchy benched when he's not dominating in the forward line rather than go into the backline where we are struggling for height?

Why is Stafford on the bench when a short player like Chaffey is on Hamill?

Why does Greg Miller (and KL ;D ) keep telling us what a marvelous job Spud is doing?

Why do you go into the game saying we'll grind out 4 quarters. How can that negative attitude be good for our young kids. I hope the scars of that coaching aren't left behind on them when you leave.

Some pretty ordinary looking match ups tonight.

I hope I don't hear any critisism of fans if they don't buy memberships next year.

I hope we don't hear excuses during the week. I expect to hear apologies.

Absolutely pathetic.

(Should wait till tomorrow to post this, but bugger it. The people who made the effort to go to the game have been insulted. I challenge anyone who thinks I shouldn't have posted this to show me where I'm wrong.)

Yeah good stuff spud. Leave Schulz and McGrath on the bench all night and give Nicholls and Holland a full game who have done nothing.

Another thing i hold against Spud is keeping Richo as captain after his first effort. He's no leader of men at all. Had his usual dummy spit at a player for not delivering to him. (This time Chaff.)
Frawley shouldn't have been so pig headed keeping Richo as captain and instead should have picked someone who will give onfield leadership.
No wonder the players look like they have no heart. No coach and no captain encouraging them.

Im 100% behind you on this one Rosy.

To say so consistently about grinding games out, and being so negatively tactically is an embarrasment.
How can confidence be instilled with Spud saying crap like that all the time and backing it up with his negative flooding game plan?
If he doesn't resign of his own accord then the man has no integrity, clearly he doesn't have what it takes to coach at the highest level. To be out-coached by Grant Thomas is laughable at best.
Having said that the players should not escape criticism here for their failure to man-up, do the hard running, and dispose of the ball in an intelligent and skillful way.

There is a vicious circle down at our club and it will only be broken by the end of the season. ::)

Not soon enuff rosy! i feel physically ill watching this game. What the hell was with the shultz move so late? we need the kids out on the ground learning instead of throwing them in after its already lost. 1st time in my life i dont want to see them win another game this season under frawley with the hope he'll throw in the towel. :'( :'( :'(

One wonders what the words that were said behind doors tonight after the game. Something like:-

- I was really proud of you boys tonight,
- We'll be cherry ripe for next week,
- There were some real positives out there tonight,
- The boys were really honest,

How about:-

- Most of you played like a bunch of limp pricks tonight, so excluding Sugar and Cogs, at Monday's match debrief, you have all got 15mins to tell me why you should be at the club next year, otherwise you won't be,
- So I'll go first............*smile* I could only crap on for 5 mins

I reckon I could coach this team better than the *smile* doing it now........................

Rosy, have to admit I left the ground very early in the last qtr. Could not bear to put myself watching the crap brand of football we were playing at the time and most of this year(even when we were wiining we won UGLY).

In previous threads I have put forward that something in the football department needs changing. As an outsider looking in, I professed to not knowing what is needed.

Please read this Mr Miller, I now know. Sack the entire football department, Spud, Crocks, Loewe, Beck, etc. I have had enough of this ugly, grinding, crap football. You will be hard pressed to build and retain membership with the crap we have seen this and last year.

HEART that is what is missing form the Richmond side maybe 5 players out there today who played well and show some heart the rest god knows

Its a shame that the Dee will be in the news all this week maybe Carlonie Wilson form the age should take over down there =)

How can we win hitouts 40-20 and have 8 more posessions and lose by 80 points? Pathetic game plan and a coach not getting the best out of his players.

Outcoached by Grant Thomas, sums it up really

Some of the matchups were crap

Zantuck should have been on Hamill, AK on Gherig

The forward structure we have used for 19 weeks, with 3 in the square, someone 30 metres out and 2 starting on the square hasnt worked yet, and I'll give you the tip Danny, it aint gonna work now

He is a joke and should resign

The only director on our board who is worth his salt is the guy that leaked the " memo " to the media because he regognises the seriousness of the situation at TIgerland.
This football department (not just Danny Frawley ) have set us back at least 4 years and the stench at Punt Road is really getting up a lot of supporters' noses.
If Greg Miller and his puppets keep telling us that things are under control then God help the RICHMOND FOOTBALL CLUB.

I agree spiritofrichmond. I can't see memberships picking up until Spud either resigns, gets sacked or ends his contract.

not one post so far has mentioned the real problem at rfc and thats the lack of talent compare the saints youngsters to ours and blind freddy can see that they have a bright future. ive said time and time again that we have the 2nd worst list in the comp and tonight only confirmed it boy do we need to get a whole lot of youngsters into our system and a decent coach who can get the best out of them

Claw, I've posted before about how despite the fact Saints and Cats etc have been crap you can see the way they are building a team for the future.

I blame it to a large degree on our coaching staff that we've got so few kids coming on to claim spots for the future.

However surely you're not telling me that's the reason we were flogged by 80 points tonight?

If we were coached properly, if the players had any passion or respect for the jumper and coach, if things were half decent at the club the list we had tonight should have at least put up a decent effort if not won.

The lack of kids for the future is a worry, the lack of heart and effort from the players we have is a bigger one.

And while this grinding, negative attitude stays there what kids we do have will be slowly be poisoned.

Time to end the rot.

Don't forget we won comfortably against the sainters earlier in the year. A 106 point turnaround ??? .

We couldn't hit a target to save ourselves tonight. The % of effective possessions would be an interesting stat. Lucky if it was at 20%.

We also have one undisciplined footy side. Our off the ball work in even worse than when we do have the footy if that's possible. No running to generate space and open up options, no manning up, no handballs to receive. Nothing! When we do have the ball we are too slow to get it moving so all our players (who just stand still and say hit me) get manned up hence we are always kicking to outnumbered contests.
These modern footy basics should be drilled into every player by the coaching staff. Clearly they are NOT!

Agree Claw we have nearly the worst list in the league as shown by our pathetic disposal and a total clean out is required. However we also have a coach to match. His match-ups were shocking tonight and his negative "grinding" message crushes any spirit left in the team. After 1995 we were criticized for choosing passion over skill. Now we have neither .

When it comes to improving the footy team why does the choice have to come down to changing the coach OR the playing list. Who says you can't do both at the same time. We need to do both!

To be beaten by St. Kilda - oh the shame :-[

You know, I get the feeling this could be some sort of St. Kilda conspiracy - Spud, Loewe, Burke's last game ....

And sadly I'm coming to the conclusion, along with everyone else, that Spud should do the right thing and resign - before he gets sacked!

I'm so upset I don't know what to say :'(.........

Yeah, I do.......Danny, do the right thing & resign. You've had a go & you're not up to it.

I only hope that the next coach has a background in successful, premiership winning teams......& surrounds himself with similarly experienced assistants.

The fact is, we have no young players

There are no draftees in Coburg who can give us something to be excited about, not one

Our last two drafts, have added 4 youngsters to our list, Rodan, McGrath, Schulz and Sipthorp - NOT ENOUGH

In this time, St Kilda have added 10 - 12 kids to their list, they havent recruited 25 year olds with no skill or footy smarts, they havent recruited fat hacks from other clubs, they havent tried to draft a specialist half forward flankers, they just draft the best player available when their pick comes up, then they build their team around that.

It starts with Beck, who is under instruction from Frawley - Both Must Go.

Thats pretty Damming that isn't it.
Obviously having to off load Daffy and Bourke, and then still pay for them really restricted us salary cap wise.
But if we had of recruited young kids (they'er cheaper) instead of failed, as well as veteran players from other clubs, we could of had a full list. And you never know we might of just picked up another Newman or Zantuck.
