Dangerous tackle

I’m very happy with the performance of our team tonight. It was a magnificent backs to the wall win.

But I am extremely disillusioned with the game. The AFL seems intent on turning it onto non contact sport. AFLX. That was a *smile* joke tonight. Play footy and there is a chance you might get hurt by accident. Deal with it. If you don’t want to get hurt don’t play. Tackling is part of the game and and sometimes through no one’s fault a player will hit his head on the ground.

This is not the game I grew up with.

The umps seem to take out the rule of the week on us constantly

If the rule is enforced in tomorrow's matches then no problem but if not RFC need to take action against the AFL
If the rule is enforced every game, every week then fine, no issues. But we know it's the usual note to umpires during the week that we are keeping a
" close " eye on the tackling this week as some big heavy tackles are creeping into the game and we want to stamp them out. By the end of this week, clubs will have adjusted slightly and the rule will disappear again. Except for when Nank tackles, with intent to maim n destroy.

Danaher again got up straight away after his free kick was given , pathetic really.

I noticed how quickly some of the Brisbane guys adapted to the rule. They exacerbated the movement then lay prone until the whistle and then bounced up. Daniher and McCluggage were two. Zorko was also trying to con the umpires several times.
I half expect Nank to be cited and offered a week.

Yeah, Daniher and Mcluggage doing some sly staging. Are Players quickly learning to feign collision with the ground to earn a “dangerous tackle “ free kick?

I noticed a few of our players uncharacteristically and understandably were trying to con the maggots as well but conveniently they didn't buy it. Funny how that happens.

Another coin flip rule. Lay a perfect tackle and there's a 50/50 chance you'll be on the wrong end of a free kick.

The game is being ruined by on the run decisions at AFL house. Each week the interpretation of rules changes. For such a professional sport it’s embarrassing.
