As VP of the Tim Fleming fan club I'd like to congratulate him on being selected as the replacement for Richo in tomorrows team.
Onya Tim, give em heaps. It's also a good chance for Tim to write his name into the record books as the 500th player to debut in a winning Richmond side.
Go Tiges- Win it for Tim and Campbo.

Well done Flemo. Have a good one.

Can see a few sore Freo players after tomorrow :).

Tough, hard at it and very easy on the eye. ;D
Great debut Tim and got your name in the record books as the 500th Tiger to win on debut.
Welcome to Tigerland. :)

Very impressive debut.

Gotta a bit of mongrel in him - great to see ;)

Birdy wasn't quite as handsome, haha. You'd get no complaints from me about having anyone with Bretts attributes added to our side.
The opposition will have to think everytime they get near the ball.
Just what we need. Onya Becky and Britts. ;D

I too felt he had a good attack on the ball and looked menacing. Looking at his stats in the Herald Sun he had something like 9 possessions with 5 clangers. That seemed just about right. It may have been 1st game jitters or the prevailing conditions. A fairly encouraging debut. Hopefully the disposal improves.

I was wording my mum up on how hard he goes at the man and contest, ala Brett Evans.

She was disappointed when he cannoned into some poor Freo player in front of the smokers stand, and left him on all fours.

Great first up game. Conditions were perfect for him.

Keep it up Tim.

PS The clanger count shouldn't count for yesterday. Every second disposal was a clanger ;D

I think people will be pleasantly surprised with his skill level and composure.

Speaking to a Blues fan he beleives Fleming was training with Carlton before the draft and the blues were prepared to swoop on him with their first pick - no 45 (I beleive). This is why we took him at pick 41.

Harry, you will find that Tim Fleming spent all pre-season at Richmond on the invite from Wayne Brittan, and according to my source at the club, he was sensational all preseason thus getting picked up by the tiges.

He would have played all Wizz Fizz and Rds 1 & 2 but he broke his wrist in the intraclub.

Give him a few more weeks to get into the swing of things and I reckon he will prove a very handy pick up.

Great Debut Tim

Keep it up and you'll be a permenant name on the seniors list.

Going by the reaction to his goal on Sunday (mobbed by every single Richmond player), the players love him and want him in the side. That's a good sign.

Welcome to the site tiga chikk :)

I'd love to see a player like Tim in a settled spot in the senior side.
Like Dean said the players love him so he could spark the team up a bit, and his toughness won't go astray either.
It's a nice story how perseverance can pay off with him getting in the side at 25 years old.

Although his debut was definately impressive, one must remember that he came on pretty much when the rain did. In saying that, players skills no longer became a neccessity and hard at it, diciplined players were needed in which case T.F fitted that bill.

No doubt he'll be in the team this week and I think the jury should still be out until he shows he's not just a 'flash in the pan', but a genuine talent.

In saying that, I wish him all the best and hope what he showed on Sunday continues week in, week out which will make everyone associated with the RFC proud he's on board.

Go the Tiger!!!

P.S. I love you Newman. ::)

Thanks for the welcome Rosy ;D

As I was unable to see the game last weekend and judging from the reactions so far I have to ask the question, has he got the potential to be a hard at it excitement machine??? Is he going to be a pack buster ala Scotty Turner or does he also have some skill go with it??? Or is still too early to judge? :D

Heard Greg Stafford on MMM after the game say that all the players love how he goes about is footy. Just so tough at it.

As to the question from Tenacious Tiger regarding his skills. Considering the conditions it was hard to say but I saw a short video of him when he was playing for Carlton Magoos. He was ferocious at the ball and the skills looked good as well.
