This week’s game against North Melbourne marks Dimma’s 134th game as coach of the Richmond Football Club.

In doing so he goes past Percy Bentley and sits in outright third for most games coached at the club behind Jack Dyer 226 games and Tom Hafey 248 games. He's got a fair way to go to catch those two greats of the club but if he is able to snag a flag or two in the next five years he might just get there.

GAMES WINS LOSSES DRAW Win % YEARS PREMIERSHIPS

Tom Hafey 248 173 73 2 71% 1966-76 1967, 1969, 1973, 1974
JackDyer 226 135 89 2 61% 1941-52 1943
Damien Hardwick 133 65 66 2 50% 2010-
Percy Bentley 133 86 46 1 65% 1934-40 1934

Good stats Broders.

Worth mentioning that Hardwick's had to build his own team more so than the others.

When older than the opposition:

Coach Older W L D Win %
-----------------------------
Hafey 63% 117 39 1 74.84%
Dyer 46% 66 36 1 64.56%
Hardwick 27% 30 6 - 83.33%
Bentley 85% 75 38 - 66.37%

Who knows what will happen from here? But the best could be yet to come.

Dimma and the club are doing what others couldn't and deserve praise.

thanks broders and LTRTR - great stats to see

looks like as the team gets more experience it should be happy days ahead and does that mean we want to get the Doggies in the first week of the finals ;D

He might get there, Broders. Good obs. He'll at least make third his own by a margin.

Only other sides to achieve that in the last thee years.

Hawks
Sydney
Freo

Also the only sides to play in GF's in the last three years.
