From the AFL site.

The only player cleared on Tuesday night was Richmond’s young star Mark Coughlan who will be free to play in Sunday’s clash against the Western Bulldogs.

Coughlan was booked for charging Collingwood’s Andrew Williams during last Friday night’s season opener but successfully argued he had only been trying to shepherd for teammate Joel Bowden when he made contact with Williams.

While reporting umpire Matthew Head described Coughlan’s contact with Williams as “unreasonable and unnecessary” – Williams told the tribunal that he believed Coughlan had committed a fair shepherd.

Fancy making the poor bloke attend the tribunal on a Tuesday night for one of the most stupid and pathetic reports ever seen
He missed the gut wrenching, heartbreaking end of Dr. Mitch on All Saints
;D

In the immortal words our our fellow poster Diggles "It is a disgrace"

Seriously, good to see we didn't plead guilty to this one ;)

Thankfully commonsense prevailed :).

Me thinks a certain umpire trying to get his 15 minutes of fame won't be umpiring AFL this week ;D.
