We never seem to bloody win the close ones in the last 12 years or so. Who has a stat…it won’t be good I’m tipping.

The Sam Lloyd game comes to mind but it didn't really matter in teh context of that year. Another couple against the Swans also

Lost 3 in a row in 2017 as well. Also 2 after the siren to freo in 2 years. It’s worse than most think I reckon.

Over the past five years we've won plenty of close games by 5 goals.

It would be interesting to do a tally, w/L in games with say, under 2 goal margin? 10 points? Or under a goal? I had a quick look, we'd lost more than I remembered for sure, but we'd still be in front, or evenish? Few close wins to us over WC and Port.

The port game final.
The WC game at the G

With 2 minutes to go, we conceded almost immediately after Rioli kicked the goal.
There forward line was open, heaps of space and ours was like the Vic Market with $2 lettuce.

Round 1 2013 - Yarran misses a goal on the run late and the Tigers hold on by a kick or less.

The apparent injustices in those close losses in 2017 seemed to build our resolve. Here's hoping last night will do the same.

Also beat GWS by 4 points last year.

It's becoming a joke. But the commentators journos and opposition supporters are loving it.
