Can we have one day without this in Fighting. For Gods Sake its Jack's Funeral.

Lets at least act like a family today. He may not be special to some here but for others (myself included) he is a legend.

p.s Tomorrow sharpen the knifes if you wish but today let people have their dreams. We have plenty of time over the break to argue.

That post really concerns me Khan. I've read through most posts and I can't see any instances that would give the opinion that Jack Dyer wasn't special to someone here.

The HeraldSun rang me to ask some questions (not sure if it will be in the paper because I wouldn't give permission to use my real name)

They asked if I was surprised at all of the support and comments about Jack on this site.

My answer was I think you'd struggle to find anyone who had a bad word against him, and not only from the Richmond faithful. The respect he has transcends traditional team rivalry.

I don't know how you judge if soemone is more special to some than others, but I think everyone here has done Jack proud, and that makes me very proud to be part of this site too.

One of the things that Jack loved was Richmond, and some of the posts that appeared just before this were very devisive. I may not have expalined myself well enough but for that one day not to have the usual tiger bites appearing on the carcas of the club.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

I am not sure why it would be surprissing. I know for me I have always thought of Jack Dyer as being like the Don Bradman of football. Both having a tremendous love of their game, both possessing great skill and both tremendously modest. The whole nation can identify with the loss everyone felt when the Don died. So naturally we all feel a great loss for the man who represented and loved the Richmond football club like no other.
