Victorian Premier Steve Bracks is set to announce his
resignation, reports suggest.

Mr Bracks is due to hold a press conference at Melbourne's Treasury Place at 10.30am, where he is expected to announce he will stand down.

Re: Bracks to resign

Unless he is sick can only think its because of family reasons after what happened with his son.

Re: Bracks to resign

It'll probably be all serious and stuff, lots of guys in suits, Bracks will sit down and say...

"After constant reflection and given the current circumstances, I have decided to...

...make the AFL Grand Final a night game for TV purposes."

Re: Bracks to resign

:hihi

But Bracks will coach the season out and hopefully will allow for a smooth transition following Round 22 or any finals that may occur.

Bracks quits

Stve Bracks is quitting politics for personal/family reasons.Didn't see this coming.Press conference on now.

Its an interesting coincidence that Bracks came to power on the day that Essondon lost the “unlosable” preliminary final to Carlton and leaves in the same week as the Carlton & Essendon coaches.

note: obviously not the same Carlton coach.

Will take over as Geelong coach when Bomber Thompson moves back to Essendon.

Overall Bracks has done a good job,was surprised he endorsed Brumby ahead of Thwaites. Will be interesting to see who gets the nod.

The Thwaites star has well and truly dimmed of late. Being a GAY icon can only get you so far when you're incapable of making a decision.

Bring on Brumby
