Hawkins is the only Cat inside the kick rating top 10, with Cameron the next best at No.12.

“Hawkins has excelled in this area, his field kicking and shots at goal have been of a high quality, contributing to his overall return,” Champion Data AFL analyst Corey Mobilio said.

“He has attempted a hard number of field kicks, however, Hawkins has gone 25 per cent above expectation from these kicks.

“He also has an expected accuracy of 52 per cent from his shots at goal, with his return 17 per cent above expectation – ranked fourth of 35 players to have had at least 20 shots at goal.”

The Demons and Blues – featuring half-back Adam Saad (No.8) and forward Charlie Curnow (No.10) – are the only clubs to have two players in the top 10.

Richmond is one of three teams without a player featured in the top 50 alongside the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne.

That's not really a surprise given what we've been watching but it's still a shock to see the bald facts.

How do you fix poor skills apart from drafting your way out of it?

Confidence, fitness, energy, focus, connection, desire can all have an impact on skill execution. I'm not saying we're the most skilled side on the comp mind you, not by a long shot, but its a factor.

We've all seen it in various guises, when a good side is playing poorly they can look like bumbling wooden spooners, when a poor side is playing well and has their tails up they can look like contenders.
 
Pickett and Baker are lovely long, penetrating kicks on the run, but when they try to go short or cute, things go completely pear-shaped. It's like they're being asked to implement something they haven't practiced. And while not everyone is going to be able to nail short kicks like Caleb Daniel, surely it's something that can be improved with training.

ok then. Would you accept, that we have the best hair styles in the league and the best banners and we aren't bad at high 5's

Our game during our premiership period was never based on foot or hand skills. If we could only do what we did then we’ll now we’d still be a half decent side instead of the fungus brained corpses I saw running around on the weekend.
