He undid the buttons of his shirt to reveal a Tigers jumper underneath, with his index finger covering his nose to signify quiet. He claimed that Richmond was still his team, as once a Tiger, always a Tiger. Good on him. Maybe he should call that goose that wore number 10 during his days and explain that to him.
puregreen said:Really good interview with Barry, ranging from how he came to be at Richmond, positions and players he played with. Recalled the time he kept Hudson goalless by playing 20 metres behind him.
Hopefully, SEN have a podcast of the interview on their website as it was very good listening, Barry was really well spoken and had some great recollections.

Streak said:But do we know the real story behind Hafey leaving?
I always thought the club sacked him, but these days I am not so sure anymore.
IanG said:They didn't sack him, as I understand it he left because there was a board vote or something on his coaching and he won but it wasn't unanimous. Because it wasn't unanimous he left. Graeme Richmond may even have been the one who voted against him.
