If Geelong win the GF they will have won flags in seaons four years apart (2007 and 2011). 2009 notwithstanding.

The last team to do that was ..... wait for it ....

Richmond ... 1969 and 1973.
 
They will also assume our mantle as the last club to win 59 years apart. But on the bright side, our 26- and 33-year records are safe for another year.  :p

I wish them well. Not a big fan of Geelong supporters but I'm even less a one of the Wobbler's. It will be interesting to see how the Cats future pans out over the next few years. They have some aging, very good players but they seem to have some pretty good reserves ready to step up.

Go Cats. Do your 2 and 4 yearly thing. It's a pretty impressive effort worst luck. :vomit2
