To be released today or tomorrow. The AFL has released a few tidbits over recent days. From a Richmond perspective, All we know is that we play away to Carlton in R1, but its not the season opener.

Theoretically, We should get a more friendly draw as we didn’t make finals. But that also might mean less Friday night games and more Sunday games (Yuk).

I’ll make a couple of predictions:
  • We’ll play consecutive Thursday night games to open the season. Probably the Footscray or Collingwood in R2.
  • I have a gut feeling we’ll be drawn to play Geelong in Geelong as we haven’t played there in a few years.
  • We’ll play something like 3 out of our last 5 or 6 games interstate.
 
Once winter hits we'll be off interstate again for the next 3 months.

Highly unlikely I would've thought.... time for the pies and hawks to take their turn.

i wouldn't count on that after Benny had a go at AFL's stand rules. Soon as he said that opening game was taking off.
