Looks as if we're getting yet another year of this stupid countdown & presentations of the top ten draft picks then back to pick 11.
I don't know anyone who likes that format so why do they persist with it!

Present the top 10 on stage but in bloody order. The honour of no.1 pick means your the 10th one up there. Great reward that is ::)

Because the Adolf regime has no idea that nobody likes that format because they don't even think about listening to what people like.

I also hate it. Love the fact it is televised again but hate the format.

Agree. Absurd idea which actually detracts from the suspense.

I really hate the countdown of 10 to 1. It should be 1-10. With it that way there is an unknown of which player is which pick.

freakin hate the 10 to 1 countdown
bloody american *smile*

NFL and NBA drafts might be full of US hype but even they aren't dumb enough to do an anti-climatic 10 to 1. The commissioner of each reads out picks from number 1.

Its about TV ratings. Some bright spark thinks that a large percentage of the casual audience will only tune in to find out who the number 1 pick is. So by making them wait they get a 30 minute program instead of a 5 minute one.

Apparantly the ratings drop like Lloyd-on-the-lead after the top-20 or so and only the footy tragics are watching for the late picks (even with the hosts trying to make a 'scandal' of Fev or whoever not being picked late).

Should be 15 to 1 countdown but physically let official pick 15 have first pick.

Personally I don't care what order, I'm on a squash court that time anyway ;D

They didn't think it through. It might have worked better when it's not dominated by one club but last year and this one won't make for compelling viewing.

Foxtel tried something different but it hasn't worked.

Well when I heard they are doing this again, their prospective ratings went down by 1. I'll read it up on here.

Might as well make it a countdown from 20 to 1 and get Bert Newton to call it

:rofl

That is quite possibly the funniest post I have read all year...well done Willo :clap :hihi
