AFLW Round 4 2021 - RIchmond v Carlton

A lot to like about that last quarter effort. Kept themselves right in it. Need to make a couple of changes to improve the side. We have seen enough of some players to never see them again.

future looks good for the midfield , gee Conti’s a gun , like the umps to look after the ball player a bit more re her. Not sure if I’m right however we seem to be trying to play a fast moving linking game, in time I’m sure it will gel. Gee if we just had a big key forward who could pinch hit in the ruck. Great to see Brennan show her class today . The ladies don’t look to far away from a win

Definitely improving as a side.
How was Molan a pick #7, seems more a hindrance on the ground than anything.

Lot better, nice to go to the footy too.

Let's see if we can get to play an easier team next week. The way they played today there are a few teams whey would have beaten well.

Watching the game now, had a busy weekend.

Between losing Hosking and some umpiring in the 2nd quarter, that quarter was the deciding factor in the loss. A 17 point turnaround in that quarter in a game that we lost by 5 points. Has Prespakis been suspended for that tackle?

Whats impressive seeing over the last 4 rounds, is that our forward line is starting to click. We've actually been very similar defensively each week, conceding similar points tallies whilst playing many of the best teams in the comp.

Agree on what others have said about both Fredericks and Molan, they are sooooo slow and not that skilled for such high profile / high draft picks.

If we could get McKenzie into the game more, getting her to 20 odd possessions average could be a game changer.

Anyone see how ridiculous Carltons argument was to try and get Prespakis off. It was probably one of the most uncomfortable tackles I've seen watching AFL, landing Hosking on her head and he legs up in the air then landing the other side. A lot of rotation on her neck.

"Prespakis argued Hosking drove her shoulder into the Blue's midriff, winding her, in an attempt to break the tackle and it was that momentum which caused Hosking to land the way she did."

So the 1st defence is, well it was her fault, she winded me so I dropped her on her head.

"AFL counsel Jeff Gleeson and Prespakis disagreed as to whether Hosking's arms were pinned, with Gleeson suggesting the left bicep of Hosking was held, while Prespakis said that Hosking's forearms were free."

I didn't pin her arms, but I still dropped her on her head and flipped her over.

I can't believe they had the audacity to actually go to the tribunal. I thought she was lucky to get just 1 week, the risk of dropping someone on their neck and all of their weight going through their neck is massive.

She should have been given the extra week just for wasting everyone’s time. It’s sheer luck that Hosking wasn’t concussed.
