Welcome to Richmond Seth Campbell

There are things to like about him, honest, quick and tries hard and very young.
Where does he end up playing?
Doesn’t seem to be a real goal-kicker, 3 for the year.
Maybe a winger

He's already playing on the wing. Its 1 of the reasons why he isn't impacting the scoreboard. I said earlier on the Cumbo thread and was told I was wrong,. but yet again he played wing for pretty much the entire game, as we were playing extra players up the ground to deal with our weakness in the middle.

Had a good 2nd half I thought. Disposal not as great as you know he can perform but not on his lonesome tonight. Definite keeper.

His 1st half disposal was poor. Twice going inside 50 in the 1st half didn't get enough penetration on his kicks, but what was good was he didn't let it bother him, he kept going and was rewarded in the 2nd half, where he was much better.

He played high half forward tonight.
All high half forwards work into the middle of the ground even to half back and then work back - George, Lambo and every team’s . Watch the Cats blokes Stengle, Myers etc.

Every centre bounce Hugo and Banks stood the wings, aside from a few from Sonsie. Then when Banks went down was Marlion, Mansell and MJR.

Seth may have pinch-hit as a traditional winger a few times but his role has predominantly been as a high half-forward .
He may have rotated through the wing during play but he certainly wasn’t starting there at centre bounces and there was a lot of them

Centre bounces are starting position. He barely played inside 50 today.

He's sound and fresh. 19yo until December. A child.

*He needs a rest.*

Meehan does not work with all the players. Only the injured ones. We have another fitness expert who works with the sound players. We have to; otherwise all our players would be on respirators. The other guy is a genius.

He does bloods on our players and he knows if they need a physical rest. He plans and measures every kilogram, microgram and rep. Every incline and burden. Room temp. Bulb temp. Sweat drop. Pain and fatigue are weather to The Other Guy. He plants cameras in our players' rooms and measures every rep during their regimented porno programmes. If a fly lands on the player during a porno we weighs it and then does bloods on it.

The Other Guy knows if a player needs a rest. You may not have noticed this but last week we spelled three flies that would have played for any other club*.

Campbell does not need a rest. He needs to practise playing football. Flies or not. Just ask The Other Guy.

*A tired fly is a stiff proposition.

Sorry, s t. It's a bit obscure.

The truth is we measure bloods. Like racehorse trainers do. They do bloods on their horses. We do bloods on out players. We measure all sorts of things like testosterone. Testosterone doesn't just build muscle it heals it.

We've done bloods on Campbell. We knew he was right to play. He worked hard because he is sound. (No injury - we measure that.) And he is chock full of testosterone. His balls make that unless we overwork him. We measure the test(osterone) to see if he can heal. He is healed, he is sound.

Furthermore we measure reps. Weights. Resistance. Incline. All the training is done on machines we can measure. (Free weights etc - let's not stickle.)

We measure everything. We test everything. We plan it.

Seth Campbell does not need a rest. We have the bloods to prove it.

He can't kick. Practise might help.

Now that we've dispensed with the idea that fans don't get the bloods can we focus on Campbell's appalling ball use?

I blame Yze.

Neither did most of the team.

He stood the wing at centre bounce twice - 10 seconds before half time and 1 min before the end of the match.
That’s 2 out of 30.

If he isn’t starting on a wing between quick goals he isn’t playing on their wingman so he isn’t defending their wingman and playing that specialist position , because the man he is matched to isn’t playing like a winger either .
As far as goals go, yeah tough for him I acknowledge that with how we have been playing

One of the very few kids we have that is worth investing games into and PRE wants to “rest” him?

His running is already elite and he’s only 19. Get him to 50 games as quickly as possible.

Doing as well as any of the Cubs , I’d just keep playing them all , they are the future , very few of our guns are going to be around when we are contending again . Again SC looks like a good flanker type , not a genuine mid we crave

Whatcha talking bout Dy'illis?
Seth Campbell kicks beautifully.
Fact #1.

What, his kicks all end up in the hands of the bad guys?
Is it a kicking problem? No, see fact #1.

Seth Campbell cant see.
Cant see the bad guy lurking in the shadows 30m off the target. And then kicks straight to him.
Ever driven so fast that you're not aware of the lanes alongside of you? Its why I stay away from major arterials and highways. A good residential estate is my domain.
SC is running too fast and tunneling to his teammate.
Give him time. If he cant see at 40 games we have a problem.

FWIW he had acres of laneway ahead of him tonight. Once he breaks there is no one catching him. He could run the straight with 3 bounces before he chips over.
